Though the insectoid threat was contained for the moment, the colony of Debrecen was lost, and the people of Toliman system lived in fear of the invading aliens, who seemingly had access to technology far more advanced than that of the Alliance. Falgrim and Kornel, though now respected as heroes, had seen the dark side of the Alliance, and went in search of answers.
[6/29/2015 4:12:02 PM] @bruce: Last time on Dungeon Galaxy, you ended the battle for Frontier station decisively, by pursuing a squad of insectoids in the tram tunnels attempting to blow up the station's reactor.
[6/29/2015 4:12:04 PM] @bruce: Many have fallen, but the rest of the insectoid's ships were blown out of orbit and forced to crash land on Debrecen. The planet is likely lost -- they landed a ship full of eggs on Hanton -- but the Alliance is dedicating its fleet to evacuating the other colonies and then keeping their ground forces pinned down on the planet.
[6/29/2015 4:12:45 PM] joo: That's we get for putting...
[6/29/2015 4:12:52 PM] joo: all our eggs....
[6/29/2015 4:12:57 PM] joo: .......in one basket.....!
[6/29/2015 4:14:26 PM] @bruce: For now, it seems, the insectoids are at a disadvantage, but Admiral Jenevius gave you some unsettling information: the insectoids' ships were identified as being a part of the failed Horizon Expedition, an attempt at colonizing the Ikleam system decades ago. And what's more, the Horizon ships couldn't have possibly made it back here by now. What the insectoids are capable of remains a mystery.
[6/29/2015 4:14:33 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Heh.
[6/29/2015 4:15:20 PM] joo: Ah, yes, that was the unsettling information.
[6/29/2015 4:16:57 PM] joo: Does Kornel qualify for Expert Sniper?
[6/29/2015 4:17:26 PM] joo: ...I suppose not, since he was detected when he took out the leader of the rearguard.
[6/29/2015 4:19:23 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Ooh, do we get to level up?
[6/29/2015 4:19:36 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Well, did Kalbitan make it?
[6/29/2015 4:19:41 PM] joo: Hopefully the next Alien Attack won't be so soon.
[6/29/2015 4:19:53 PM] @bruce: It's been a few hours since the battle for Frontier station was won. A makeshift infirmary was set up in the atrium to handle the sheer number of wounded, and the doctors there heal you. You can both level up, now. The repair drones continue at their work, and a memorial to the fallen is set up in the center of the atrium. One of the pilots has set down a photo of Captain Garik along with countless others.
[6/29/2015 4:21:58 PM] @bruce: Kalbitan's still up, Falgrim. You hear her occasionally barking orders on the radio: she's leading one of the teams making sure the spires are clear room by room.
[6/29/2015 4:22:05 PM] joo: Ah, I hadn't seen Charming Entertainer before!
[6/29/2015 4:22:20 PM] @bruce: I think I added it yesterday.
[6/29/2015 4:22:43 PM] joo: Here starts Kornel's Twi'lek Dancing Girl career.
[6/29/2015 4:23:26 PM] @bruce: I don't think Kornel's satisfied the requirement for Expert Sniper, yet, unless there was another time we just forgot about.
[6/29/2015 4:23:48 PM] Theo (~Theo@from.the.sofa) has quit (Leaving)
[6/29/2015 4:23:50 PM] joo: No; I'd have grabbed the class before then, if that were the case.
[6/29/2015 4:24:05 PM] @bruce: It's not just about quickscoping. The stealth thing is important to being a Sniper, I think, even though I haven't yet written a move to reflect that yet...
[6/29/2015 4:25:00 PM] joo: Add “They are completely infatuated with you, and would do anything to please you”
[6/29/2015 4:25:03 PM] joo: Ohhh myyyy.
[6/29/2015 4:25:24 PM] @bruce: *grinning baldric.png*

[6/29/2015 4:27:07 PM] joo: A Mesmerise attempt: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yK9QfdUwRQo
[6/29/2015 4:27:11 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Hmm, are there even any charming people in the party?
[6/29/2015 4:28:50 PM] @bruce: No, you guys are dorks.
[6/29/2015 4:28:53 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Hahaha.
[6/29/2015 4:29:09 PM] Vaylon Kenadell:
[6/29/2015 4:29:19 PM] joo: Hahahah.
[6/29/2015 4:29:48 PM] joo: The requirements for the compendium class are technically quite weak.
[6/29/2015 4:30:01 PM] @bruce: I think you can both take an Advanced Advanced Move now. And Kornel can take two of them, because he's good at failing.
[6/29/2015 4:30:12 PM] joo: We could take advantage of this by making the Insectoid Queen fall in love with both of us, then laugh at Broose.
[6/29/2015 4:30:23 PM] @bruce: art is subjective.
[6/29/2015 4:31:38 PM] @bruce: You can't just randomly put on a performance in front of someone who's trying to kill you, you know.
[6/29/2015 4:32:25 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Hmmm.
[6/29/2015 4:32:26 PM] joo: y ¬
[6/29/2015 4:32:33 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: You could put on a performance of killing.
[6/29/2015 4:32:36 PM] @bruce: What the fuck is that.
[6/29/2015 4:33:01 PM] joo: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negation
[6/29/2015 4:33:19 PM] @bruce: Because that's stupid.
[6/29/2015 4:33:39 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Did he just say "yuh-huh" in propositional logic?
[6/29/2015 4:33:44 PM] joo: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
[6/29/2015 4:34:02 PM] joo: That's "iunno" written in propositional logic.
[6/29/2015 4:34:03 PM] @bruce: And I'm not going to clarify that the members of your audience shouldn't be trying to murder you!
[6/29/2015 4:34:28 PM] @bruce: Oh. I thought it was, "why not?"
[6/29/2015 4:34:55 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Oh, heh.
[6/29/2015 4:35:14 PM] joo: Yes, that was it.
[6/29/2015 4:35:27 PM] @bruce: Ahh.
[6/29/2015 4:35:41 PM] @bruce: Well, enough of that silly bullshit.
[6/29/2015 4:35:49 PM] @bruce: Do you guys want to level up?
[6/29/2015 4:35:55 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Of cours!
[6/29/2015 4:35:58 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: *course!
[6/29/2015 4:36:03 PM] joo: Yes, let's get to the serious business of Dungeon Galaxy.
[6/29/2015 4:36:31 PM] @bruce: We have moved up one level of seriousness.
[6/29/2015 4:36:33 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Where are all the Ace Pilot moves?
[6/29/2015 4:36:43 PM] @bruce: It's still not very serious, but it's more serious than it was before.
[6/29/2015 4:37:05 PM] @bruce: I haven't thought of any new ones, yet, unfortunately.
[6/29/2015 4:38:03 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Ah.
[6/29/2015 4:38:48 PM] @bruce: If you have any ideas, I might be willing to quickly shit a move out onto the document.
[6/29/2015 4:39:00 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Gross!
[6/29/2015 4:39:06 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: You can do that on your own time. I don't have any ideas.
[6/29/2015 4:39:19 PM] joo: LOL
[6/29/2015 4:39:56 PM] @bruce: Dungeon Galaxy is the metaphorical false sack of fudge, and you are all hungry vagrants.
[6/29/2015 4:40:35 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: More gross!
[6/29/2015 4:40:50 PM] joo: I'm going to have to go for Root Access, of course... but for my other choice, I'm indecisive.
[6/29/2015 4:41:38 PM] joo: The Takedown-based moves are just sick, but Master Hacker would be undoubtedly useful.
[6/29/2015 4:41:39 PM] @bruce: Don't forget that both of you have Multiclass moves.
[6/29/2015 4:41:50 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: I'm going to level up and take +1 Dexterity and No One Left Behind.
[6/29/2015 4:42:15 PM] joo: No Child Left Behind
[6/29/2015 4:43:13 PM] @bruce: I accidentally wrote Falgrim's HP as 131/31 on my notes. I declare this canon, and Falgrim suddenly expands! orig14.deviantart.net/12a4/f/2012/161/5/e/john_cena_big_belly_by_bigbelly58887-d530ovi.jpg
[6/29/2015 4:44:00 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Hah!
[6/29/2015 4:44:19 PM] joo: I will take +2 intelligence, Root Access, and Adrenaline.
[6/29/2015 4:44:29 PM] joo: Hahaha.
[6/29/2015 4:44:50 PM] joo: john_cena_big_belly.mpreg
[6/29/2015 4:45:15 PM] @bruce: What does that put your INT at?
[6/29/2015 4:45:21 PM] joo: 18, baby.
[6/29/2015 4:45:29 PM] joo: Er, that is... +3.
[6/29/2015 4:46:12 PM] @bruce: Look at this goofy white dude mixing up INT and Intelligence. Makes me LAUGH.
[6/29/2015 4:48:29 PM] joo: I declare it to be canon that Kornel's INT is +18.
[6/29/2015 4:48:38 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Haha.
[6/29/2015 4:49:52 PM] @bruce: Both of you and your companions are healed completely. By now, a few of the survivors are at the lounge, watching the news on the only working video terminal around.
[6/29/2015 4:50:29 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: How many favor did I earn, and how many do I have now?
[6/29/2015 4:51:05 PM] @bruce: 2 favor, putting you at 4.
[6/29/2015 4:51:27 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Is that before or after I set us up the bomb?
[6/29/2015 4:52:16 PM] @bruce: Ah, yes. We don't need to go into detail with that, really, so you can just spend the favor now and it'll find its way into the Outrunner's cargo hold.
[6/29/2015 4:52:38 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Heh, heh. All righty.
[6/29/2015 4:52:57 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: So I have 3 favor, actually.
[6/29/2015 4:53:08 PM] @bruce: Yes.
[6/29/2015 4:53:40 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: That's fine. I had 3 favor on my sheet prior to the mission just now, but I think perhaps I spent one during that mission to have them go a certain way and I never got around to marking it off.
[6/29/2015 4:54:12 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: I'm almost maxed out on favors!
[6/29/2015 4:55:10 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: joo, if you can think of a way to use favors, that would be sweet.
[6/29/2015 4:55:28 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Well -- what do we see on the terminal besides what we've heard?
[6/29/2015 4:55:32 PM] joo: Give them all to Kornel.
[6/29/2015 4:55:33 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: I mean, what we've already heard.
[6/29/2015 4:55:53 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Pfft.
[6/29/2015 4:56:06 PM] joo: Tell me what's on that big data clit, Bruce.
[6/29/2015 4:58:59 PM] @bruce: Falgrim, before you can check it out, you're approached by a well-dressed human holding a microphone, being followed by a tiny camera drone. "Excuse me, sir? I'm from Colonial News. Would you mind giving us a quick interview?" She asks, all before you can get a word out.
[6/29/2015 4:59:38 PM] @bruce: Do you want to bounce on down to the Outrunner to view it with the cockpit's terminal, Kornel?
[6/29/2015 5:00:07 PM] joo: No, Kornel will stand in the background with his arms crossed while this Interview goes on.
[6/29/2015 5:00:18 PM] @bruce: Hahaha.
[6/29/2015 5:00:57 PM] @bruce: Kornel: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QN2vMceH_i8
[6/29/2015 5:01:37 PM] joo: Hahahah. Quite the hack, there.
[6/29/2015 5:01:48 PM] @bruce: Hahaha.
[6/29/2015 5:02:09 PM] @bruce: Later, he puts on his resume for Grelt Intelligence: "hijacked the broadcast of major news network".
[6/29/2015 5:06:17 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Hmm.
[6/29/2015 5:08:41 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Well, I'm pretty sure all this shit is classified.
[6/29/2015 5:09:49 PM] @bruce: Your defense of Frontier station, at least, isn't quite.
[6/29/2015 5:10:34 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Falgrim glances up at the reporter. "I'm not at liberty to discuss that." He waves his hand vaguely. "Besides, I think I've earned a break." After a pause, with a little bit of a smile, he nods to Kornel and says, "But I'm sure he'd be more than happy to talk to you about it."
[6/29/2015 5:12:01 PM] @bruce: With a little shrug, she looks to you, Kornel. "Were you involved in the defense? Would you be willing to answer a few questions?"
[6/29/2015 5:12:56 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Falgrim, meanwhile: i3.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/507/667/46d.gif
[6/29/2015 5:13:25 PM] @bruce: Falgrim, having successfully dodged that social interaction, you take a look at the video terminal...
[6/29/2015 5:14:23 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: It's the Dexterity.
[6/29/2015 5:14:43 PM] joo: Kornel approaches the journalist, giving the camera an authoritarian gaze. "We're not at liberty to answer specific questions about the recent incident, but I can reassure citizens of the station that the immediate threat has been neutralised." He nods. "Civilians should now focus on bringing the station back into normal operation and repairing the damage."
[6/29/2015 5:16:16 PM] @bruce: She nods, her camera drone shining a light in your face. "What do you have to say to the people of the Alliance in the aftermath of this devastating attack?"
[6/29/2015 5:16:46 PM] @bruce: Kornel is extremely likely to be credited as "an official" when this goes live.
[6/29/2015 5:17:15 PM] joo: "The most important thing is to remain calm, and do not pay any heed to wild rumours."
[6/29/2015 5:17:36 PM] joo: Damn, that's exactly what to say to cause people to panic.
[6/29/2015 5:18:05 PM] joo: That's Kornel's -1 CHA at work.
[6/29/2015 5:18:53 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Hahaha.
[6/29/2015 5:19:04 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Very British.
[6/29/2015 5:19:43 PM] joo: I briefly considered saying "Keep calm and carry on," but I didn't want to bring the Seriousness back to -5.
[6/29/2015 5:20:19 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Heh.
[6/29/2015 5:20:52 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Damn, am I watching all this as it happens?
[6/29/2015 5:20:56 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: On the terminal?
[6/29/2015 5:22:12 PM] joo: "Those in charge of defence will examine the facts and in due course determine what must be done to keep us safe. Until then, it would be inappropriate to make further comment."
[6/29/2015 5:23:30 PM] @bruce: She nods, apparently satisfied with your soundbites... for now. The light on her drone goes off. "Thank you for your time."
[6/29/2015 5:24:07 PM] joo: Kornel's going to later hack into her camera to give himself bulging muscles in the video.
[6/29/2015 5:25:22 PM] joo: I feel like I drained my very soul by giving such empty statements, but that must be the Lawful life.
[6/29/2015 5:25:26 PM] @bruce: They're reporting mostly on the attack on the station and Hanton, Falgrim, but now that things have calmed down a little, you catch some other news. Chancellor Kalris is planning to deliver a speech on the recent developments in the frontier, on Carpathia. On Egrion, a platoon of Alliance soldiers on an expedition into the ruined city of Ondire were pushed out by mutant tribals. And finally...
[6/29/2015 5:26:46 PM] joo: Who is this Chancellor Kalris?
[6/29/2015 5:28:51 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Is joo admitting that Lawful people are soulless? I agree.
[6/29/2015 5:29:10 PM] joo: Hahahaha.
[6/29/2015 5:29:21 PM] joo: [Racist] Yes. I agree.
[6/29/2015 5:30:42 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: joo: That sounds like Spout Lore!
[6/29/2015 5:30:50 PM] joo: @_@
[6/29/2015 5:31:13 PM] joo: Kornel fails Spout Lore on who the President of Space is, and everyone laughs at him.
[6/29/2015 5:31:48 PM] @bruce: In less serious news, the system-wide Hyperball finales will go on despite the attacks, but Juum Tna, the owner of the Haven Hitmen, is rumored to be looking for substitutes for a few of his players, who were injured under mysterious circumstances.
[6/29/2015 5:32:30 PM] @bruce: (The "and finally..." wasn't meant to give that piece of news prominence, I'm just scared of messages cutting off.)
[6/29/2015 5:32:54 PM] joo: Is the Hyperball final held in a...
[6/29/2015 5:33:02 PM] joo: Hyperbowl?
[6/29/2015 5:33:30 PM] joo: Wait, that doesn't work unless I spell it "Hyperbole."
[6/29/2015 5:34:10 PM] @bruce: Kornel, you know that Kalris is the current Chancellor of the Council of Planets. The Chancellor is the elected leader of the council, and thus the head of state for the entire Alliance.
[6/29/2015 5:34:48 PM] @bruce: No, it's held in a cube in free-fall.
[6/29/2015 5:34:56 PM] @bruce: The Hypercube.
[6/29/2015 5:35:27 PM] joo: !
[6/29/2015 5:35:42 PM] joo: How many dimensions of space does the Hypercube have?
[6/29/2015 5:35:55 PM] @bruce: Uh... three of them.
[6/29/2015 5:36:08 PM] joo: I am disappoint.
[6/29/2015 5:36:38 PM] joo: [Lawful] Well, I suppose a cube is technically a 3-dimensional hypercube.
[6/29/2015 5:36:50 PM] @bruce: Yes, exactly.
[6/29/2015 5:37:13 PM] @bruce: What does Kornel do while Falgrim is rotting his brain with television?
[6/29/2015 5:37:40 PM] @bruce: The reporter has moved on to Jano, who is all too willing to talk to her.
[6/29/2015 5:37:49 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Hahaha.
[6/29/2015 5:38:21 PM] joo: Kornel shakes his head, but has more important things to do than stop this story from inevitably leaking. He goes to give his clit some digital stimulation.
[6/29/2015 5:39:33 PM] @bruce: Very well, Kornel. You head back to Hangar B and climb into the Outrunner. It's empty, it looks like -- Arataar's crew must have gone out for some quick shore leave. Dawn is here, of course.
[6/29/2015 5:39:39 PM] @bruce: "Greetings, Kornel."
[6/29/2015 5:40:47 PM] joo: "Greetings, Dawn," Kornel says. Kornel relates to Dawn what Admiral Jenevius told them, then pauses. "What do you make of this?"
[6/29/2015 5:41:43 PM] @bruce: The people watching with you are only barely paying attention, Falgrim, drowning their troubles with drinks from the lounge. The people of the frontier are used to hardship, but this is rough for anyone.
[6/29/2015 5:45:30 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Hmm.
[6/29/2015 5:45:37 PM] @bruce: "I'm not sure what to make of it. There have been several theories for how an object might surpass the speed of light, but they have never been put in to practice. In any case, the ships themselves were not modified. However they sent the ships here, it seems to be a one way trip."
[6/29/2015 5:45:46 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Is there anyone at the bar that Falgrim knows?
[6/29/2015 5:45:53 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Er -- lounge?
[6/29/2015 5:50:00 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: It's funny because hanging out in taverns and inns all day is what I'm used to when playing certain characters! Falgrim might do that, but he won't be as talkative as I normally am.
[6/29/2015 5:50:27 PM] @bruce: Now that you mention it... one of them is a human wearing a red station security uniform, and only now seems to notice you. He stands from his seat and approaches you. "Hey!"
[6/29/2015 5:50:39 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Oh, no. A redshirt! Run!
[6/29/2015 5:50:52 PM] joo: I dress in womens' clothing, and hang around in bars!
[6/29/2015 5:51:00 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Haha!
[6/29/2015 5:51:41 PM] joo: Kornel frowns, and nods. "It may become critical to be able to match their speed."
[6/29/2015 5:52:03 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Falgrim is in the process of getting himself a whiskey when he sees the redshirt, and he acknowledges him with a nod.
[6/29/2015 5:52:11 PM] @bruce: "What's going on, man? Oh, you probably don't recognize me. My name's Adrian. I was security on the Herald." He says, clapping you on the shoulder. "I heard you were around here!"
[6/29/2015 5:52:14 PM] joo: "Anyway, on another note, I have data I recovered from the Debrecen facility. I'd like to see what's hidden in it."
[6/29/2015 5:52:19 PM] joo: Kornel inserts the chip.
[6/29/2015 5:53:03 PM] joo: Now pretend that you knew him all along, for extra social points!
[6/29/2015 5:53:18 PM] @bruce: He does look familiar, now that he mentions it... and you recognize the voice, too. You think he might have been that guy freaking the fuck out over the radio, while you were blowing up the cruiser.
[6/29/2015 5:54:26 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: How long has it been since the Herald?
[6/29/2015 5:54:30 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Geez, how do they measure time in space?
[6/29/2015 5:56:16 PM] joo: More to the point, how do they measure space in time?
[6/29/2015 5:56:26 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Hahaha. Whoops.
[6/29/2015 5:56:38 PM] @bruce: The data starts to load up... "The chip's contents are heavily corrupted, Kornel, but there's a large video file that should be playable."
[6/29/2015 5:56:59 PM] joo: inb4 Qexen's home-made porn.
[6/29/2015 5:57:04 PM] @bruce: Most use Alliance time, which is based in the capital city of Tabos. It's been about a month.
[6/29/2015 5:57:21 PM] joo: One Tabos is about the time it takes to TABOS.
[6/29/2015 5:57:29 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: I can't read Tabos without thinking of the acronym, sorry.
[6/29/2015 5:58:54 PM] @bruce: I think Vaylon forgot that the name was his idea.
[6/29/2015 5:59:01 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Oh, yes.
[6/29/2015 5:59:43 PM] joo: But it was immediately corrupted, like all good things.
[6/29/2015 6:00:25 PM] @bruce: When I was drawing the diagram of Frontier station, I almost immediately made a giant, blatant dick, and I just held my head in my hands and wondered what was wrong with me.
[6/29/2015 6:00:41 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Hahaha.
[6/29/2015 6:01:18 PM] joo: That's the first step on a long journey.
[6/29/2015 6:01:31 PM] joo: A long, hard journey.
[6/29/2015 6:01:50 PM] @bruce: Well, Kornel, with nothing better to do, you sit back and put on this fat video.
[6/29/2015 6:03:07 PM] @bruce: It seems to be a feed from the laboratory's security cameras. It skips around constantly, and huge chunks of the video are distorted, along with the audio.
[6/29/2015 6:04:30 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Falgrim says to the security officer, "It's been a while. Good to see you still in service. We need every man we can find."
[6/29/2015 6:04:52 PM] joo: Sexist.
[6/29/2015 6:05:03 PM] @bruce: Also racist.
[6/29/2015 6:07:36 PM] @bruce: You first notice a man screaming in a sealed room, banging his head against the wall. "Subj----t --owed no imp--... -ental deterioration. --ore power is nee--..." you hear from an adjacent room's camera.
[6/29/2015 6:08:15 PM] joo: Which SCP is this?
[6/29/2015 6:11:08 PM] @bruce: The feed skips ahead. Two armored grelt with assault rifles step into the room with the screaming man. You hear a burst of gunfire, but then the soldiers are thrown against the wall seemingly by nothing. Before it skips ahead again, you hear the same voice from earlier: "Fascinating."
[6/29/2015 6:11:35 PM] joo: Interesting.
[6/29/2015 6:13:52 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Huh.
[6/29/2015 6:14:10 PM] @bruce: The video is almost completely distorted at this point. That same voice is speaking again, though, and you hear that: "Prolonged exp----...--resulted in ne---...Power source is ------... ---periments can't continue." Then it skips ahead to something completely different...
[6/29/2015 6:16:35 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: And now for something completely different.
[6/29/2015 6:18:00 PM] @bruce: The file is cleaner, here, but many chunks of the video are still missing. "Project ARPAD has begun. From here on, we are gods." It's a scientist talking to his peers in the lab. The cloning tank is here, now. It wasn't before.
[6/29/2015 6:19:40 PM] @bruce: The video skips ahead. Two grelt soldiers are dragging along a human, who's been restrained. His back is to the camera. They bring him into the lab. "Fantastic. The package is here," the scientist says.
[6/29/2015 6:22:12 PM] @bruce: "Let me get a better look at him," he continues. The grelt throw him to the floor. You can't see what's happening now... it's all distorted. "You should be glad they dragged you out of prison for this. Your legacy will become greater than you ever could have alone."
[6/29/2015 6:25:27 PM] @bruce: They continue talking, Kornel. The audio gets more and more distorted, and you can't make anything out. Suddenly, the picture is clear... and for a split second, Kornel, you see your own face looking back at you.
[6/29/2015 6:25:31 PM] @bruce: The video ends.
[6/29/2015 6:25:51 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Oh my goooood!
[6/29/2015 6:25:52 PM] joo: ...!
[6/29/2015 6:27:09 PM] @bruce: Did you really see that? Were your eyes playing tricks on you? Your head hurts.
[6/29/2015 6:27:36 PM] joo: i.imgur.com/EMrknJP.gif
[6/29/2015 6:29:28 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: No wonder he hates me so much.
[6/29/2015 6:29:45 PM] @bruce: What do you do, Kornel?
[6/29/2015 6:30:38 PM] joo: Hang on, I have another reaction video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFvN2y9PI3s
[6/29/2015 6:30:53 PM] joo: (Spoilers: KotOR)
[6/29/2015 6:32:35 PM] joo: Damn, that didn't have the face part after all. Oh well.
[6/29/2015 6:33:01 PM] joo: Kornel will engage his Wisdom to analyse this situation carefully and discern the truth behind it.
[6/29/2015 6:33:13 PM] @bruce: Roll it up.
[6/29/2015 6:33:30 PM] joo: !r 2d6+0 -- Discern Realities
[6/29/2015 6:33:31 PM] @pagebot: joo: 5=4+1 -- Discern Realities
[6/29/2015 6:33:38 PM] joo: Damn it.
[6/29/2015 6:34:26 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Yep, it's going to be one of those games.
[6/29/2015 6:35:38 PM] joo: Kornel's going to end up eating shit even in this mini-session.
[6/29/2015 6:36:51 PM] @bruce: What does it mean? What does any of this mean? You can't process this information right now. You look back up to the terminal to play through it again, but...
[6/29/2015 6:37:47 PM] @bruce: "Mr. Levente." the Director says. The only thing on your terminal is his silhouetted figure.
[6/29/2015 6:38:57 PM] @bruce: "It is... unfortunate, that you have gained access to information... above your level of clearance."
[6/29/2015 6:40:12 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Oh, no.
[6/29/2015 6:40:20 PM] @bruce: The figure steeples his fingers. "You didn't really think you got here by yourself, did you, Mr. Levente?"
[6/29/2015 6:40:33 PM] @bruce: What do you do?!
[6/29/2015 6:41:25 PM] joo: Kornel's face pales, and he looks at the Director silently.
[6/29/2015 6:44:31 PM] joo: "What do you mean, Sir?" He asks in as conversational a manner as he can manage.
[6/29/2015 6:54:12 PM] @bruce: "Our control reaches further than even you have seen," the Director says. "In a modern society, nothing can be left to chaos." He takes a long pause. "Our... investment in you has been significant, Mr. Levente, and you have exceeded... all of our expectations. For that reason, this... transgression can be forgiven."
[6/29/2015 6:55:10 PM] @bruce: What do you say to this?
[6/29/2015 7:02:59 PM] joo: "I did not suppose that this information was classified, considering how poorly guarded it was," Kornel says. "In any case, it was not my intention to go above my clearance. But now that I know, it would be most efficient for me to know the full purpose of this scheme, so far as it involves me, do you not agree?"
[6/29/2015 7:13:23 PM] @bruce: "The purpose... was to create an instrument of our will." He leans forward. "No more questions, Mr. Levente. You will continue to play the role chosen for you in the coming events. You will speak of this... to nobody. You can be replaced. You are being watched."
[6/29/2015 7:13:29 PM] @bruce: The transmission is cut.
[6/29/2015 7:17:33 PM] @bruce: Adrian nods. "Signed on as soon as we got to the station. Security was expanding then, and my experience made it easy to get the job." He takes a sip from his bottle. "None of the other officers believed my stories about the Herald, though, until today. We sure gave 'em hell, huh?"
[6/29/2015 7:18:44 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Dun-dun-dun!
[6/29/2015 7:19:21 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Unfortunately, I somehow became extremely exhausted for no real reason.
[6/29/2015 7:19:32 PM] joo: Did you decide whether Kornel can see electromagnetic waves of the frequency used for interplanetary communication?
[6/29/2015 7:19:34 PM] Vaylon Kenadell: Perhaps we can continue this tomorrow.
[6/29/2015 7:20:37 PM] @bruce: joo: You spoke too much Science at me and I didn't understand, at the time. Why, are you suggesting that Kornel can use his eyes to see where the transmission came from?!
[6/29/2015 7:21:07 PM] joo: No. In this space station, there's probably too much ambient radiation for that to work.
[6/29/2015 7:21:33 PM] @bruce: I think he could, but it would require him to Tune his eyes in advance.
[6/29/2015 7:21:35 PM] joo: However, I was thinking he might be able to detect eavesdropping devices implanted into the ship.
[6/29/2015 7:22:01 PM] joo: Ah, yes. He just sticks a straight screwdriver into his eye and rotates it until it reaches the right frequency.
[6/29/2015 9:25:50 PM] joo: !missed-rolls
[6/29/2015 9:25:51 PM] @pagebot: Missed rolls (estimated): joo: 1 of 1. Full list: <http://pastebin.com/DjCh9iLx>.
[6/29/2015 9:25:56 PM] joo: My mad XP.
