Session 9
Baptism of Fire
18 October 2015
00:17 <joo> In the previous session, you had all managed to escape the tomb of Owtheus, having tricked Owtheus into giving you a large ruby-studded gold chain that he wore about his torso, purportedly as a bride price for his marriage with Dysus. Ira sealed the tomb just as Owtheus realised the deception. You're now all standing in the cool night air, the swamp almost smelling pleasant compared to the dank innards o
00:17 <joo> f the tomb.
00:18 <Bruce> I have my XP at 6/10, is that correct?
00:18 <joo> Oh, yes, it is. I suppose that Waldemar can't level up, after all.
00:18 <joo> I was looking at his HP earlier, for some reason.
00:20 <Bruce> That would be some Fat XP.
00:20 <joo> Ira offers you all her hospitality again in her home in the forest to the West. If you take it up, she says there are some things she might wish to discuss with you.
00:21 <Bruce> Waldemar: s3.amazonaws.com/rapgenius/cave-art-rocks-bling-bling-neandertal-L-hJnREP.jpeg
00:21 <joo> Unless I'm mistaken, Waldemar left the lock of Dysus's hair with Owtheus in the tomb.
00:22 <Bruce> Yes, he did.
00:22 <Vaylon> I'm sure Dysus will understand.
00:22 <joo> Very well. You will not be able to communicate with Dysus for now, then.
00:22 <Bruce> She'll have to call in her Favor with the notoriously awful Haisford postal service.
00:22 <Vaylon> Hawthorn looks on at Waldemar with a mixture of horror and approval.
00:23 <Bruce> Waldemar, wearing Owtheus' comically oversized necklace, nods to Ira. "After such an ordeal, some rest would do us all some good."
00:24 <Vaylon> Hawthorn agrees. "There is much to discuss, I feel."
00:25 <joo> Ira will even condescend to walk with you on your way back through the swamp, if that's what you're going to do.
00:26 <Bruce> Ira will even descend to walk with you
00:27 <joo> As opposed to what you all just did, which was con-ascending.
00:28 <Bruce> Let's just go to her grotty piss stained hut.
00:28 <Vaylon> Did Hawthorn already examine the necklace?
00:28 <joo> No, because he'd surely then realise it isn't a necklace.
00:29 <joo> I don't recall that Hawthorn ever did, but he can now, of course.
00:29 <joo> If so, what will the examination consist of?
00:29 <Vaylon> Hawthorn says, "Waldemar, when we get back, I should like to examine that necklace of yours."
00:30 <Vaylon> A little spell I like to call ... Detect Magic.
00:30 <Vaylon> And examining it for runes and the like.
00:30 <joo> Okay.
00:30 <joo> As you walk, Ira looks thoughtful and troubled. She says, "I didn't expect to find a fresh human corpse down here. Did anyone get a look at that thing?"
00:31 <Theo> Sparrow follows along, still sulking at the loss of his sword.
00:31 <joo> *down there
00:31 <Vaylon> Hawthorn says, stroking his beard in thought, "It appeared to be an acolyte of some sort, perhaps."
00:31 <Bruce> The jumpscare corpse we saw?
00:31 <joo> Hahaha.
00:31 <joo> Presumably.
00:34 <joo> Ira says, "Perhaps. If I had to guess, I'd say it was a young mage. They are known to do foolish things like going into tombs. His presence there makes me wonder, though, if he knew something about how the seal on the tomb was broken. I would have liked to examine him more thoroughly, but it's too late for that now."

00:37 <Vaylon> Hawthorn frowns. "Unfortunate. I could have perhaps questioned him, but between the battle and the presence of Owtheus, it entirely slipped my mind," he admits, wearily slumping his shoulders.

00:39 <Brooose> My internet is Fucked or something, but that won't stop me.
00:39 <joo> 00:34:10 <joo> Ira says, "Perhaps. If I had to guess, I'd say it was a young mage. They are known to do foolish things like going into tombs. 00:41 <Vaylon> Hawthorn nods to Ira. "Regardless, you have my humblest thanks. We have done some good here. I only hope that the land recovers from it before too long."
00:42 <Vaylon> *from Owtheus' influence
00:42 <joo> I hope the land recovers from the good we did.
00:43 <Brooose> Hahaha.
00:43 <Vaylon> Antecedents are hard.
00:43 <joo> Ira nods. "Understandable." She looks at Hawthorn, and the rest of you. "And thank you, too. I'll be honest, I may have underestimate you at first, but you pulled that off quite nicely." Your way back along the sheltered path is otherwise uneventful, the cliff on your right-hand side offering good cover. A faint glow in the eastern sky and the beginnings of birdsong hint at dawn as you walk through the e
00:43 <joo> aves of the forest; and it seems to be full morning by the time you come again to the oddly-thatched hut.
00:44 <joo> Mohar is already risen, and chopping wood outside. He greets Ira and the rest of you warmly, wishing you a good morning.
00:45 <joo> He peers at you more closely, "But perhaps it is not morning for you! I see that you are all weary."
00:47 <Brooose> Waldemar nods. "It was a long night, but one that shall make for quite the song."
00:47 <Vaylon> "Ah, dawn. The promise of another day."
00:51 <joo> Inside, a big pot of porridge is bubbling over the fire. Ira speaks to you, Waldemar, and says, "I have not forgotten that book you showed me. May I have a look at it now? I think I may have some items in my library that would interest you, too."
00:51 <joo> And, Hawthorn, you can examine the chain now, of course.
00:52 <joo> Sparrow can do whatever thieves get up to in situations like this, which is probably stealing.
00:52 <Theo> I was considering it
00:53 <joo> Also, Sparrow and Hawthorn can level up at this point. You can all rest whenever you want, so the order of events isn't important.
00:54 <Vaylon> Very well.
00:54 <Vaylon> Hawthorn will first examine Waldemar's chain.
00:55 <Theo> Sparrow glances around the area, looking for things he could possibly take as replayment for losing his weapons.

00:55 <joo> What sense do you attune to magic?
00:55 <Vaylon> If only there were a big pile of gold coins that Sparrow could have stolen from.
00:56 <Vaylon> My fingers.
00:56 <Vaylon> Er, touch.
00:58 <joo> Hawthorn, as you touch the chain, it seems to pulse with a profoundly strong magical power. If you run your hands over the rubies, they seem to be particularly powerful, and almost hot to the touch.
00:58 <Vaylon> Hmm.
00:59 <joo> Sparrow, the first thing you might notice is the wide selection of herbs stored about the room, many of them hanging from its ceiling. You can tell by smell and sight several rare and valuable ones.
01:00 <Vaylon> Does this necklace have any markers or indicators which Hawthorn might recognize to spout lore about?
01:00 <joo> Secondly, over in the workshop where Mohar is working, there are woodworking and metalworking tools, and many associated materials lying around or in drawers. If you got a closer look, somehow, you feel you might find something valuable there.
01:00 <joo> Er... where Mohar was working, I mean.

01:01 <Bruce> Did you guys see that? They G-Lined my phone.
01:02 <joo> I didn't see you being G-lined.
01:02 <Vaylon> All I saw was a ping timeout.
01:02 <joo> pastebin.com/XeMWMucE
01:03 <Bruce> Well, I tried to reconnect on my phone client, and it said I was G-Lined for 15 minutes for looking like a bot.
01:03 <joo> Theo: and finally, if you get an opportunity to go into the room where Ira keeps her library, which is kept dark by drawn curtains, there are a variety of curious items scattered all about the walls and on tables.
01:03 <joo> Er, I mean... Sparrow.
01:03 <Bruce> Which is unbelievably racist.
01:03 <joo> I suppose that's a natural consequence of having a demented client that disconnects every few minutes.
01:04 <Bruce> Anyway, Waldemar will allow Ira a quicky peeky at his precious heirloom, and agrees to see what she's got in her library.
01:04 <Bruce> What are you on about? It disconnected once.
01:04 <Theo> Sparrow moves toward the workshop area, trying not to attract attention as he looks for valuables there.
01:07 <joo> I'm quite sure you have disconnected more than once lately.
01:08 <joo> Sparrow, roll Tricks of the Trade.
01:09 <Bruce> I'm not sure you understand the Situation. That was my phone client that got G-Lined. It was on a different connection.

01:09 <PageBot> Theo: 9=1+6(+2) (Tricks of the Trade)
01:10 <Bruce> Yes.
01:11 <joo> Hawthorn, the chain is noticeable free of any markings. It seems to have held up remarkably well during its time in the tomb, the gold untarnished and the rubies clear and brilliant. Your senses do tell you that is is enchanted with arcane magic, however.
01:11 <joo> *noticeably
01:11 <joo> I see.
01:11 <Vaylon> Hmm.
01:11 <Bruce> Also, the message said I looked like a bot because of nick and identd, or something.
01:12 <Bruce> So I think they just fucking suck again.
01:17 <joo> Sparrow, you see a spool of gold wire poking out of a small set of drawers; you estimate its worth to be about 200 coins. You also see some small bluish-purple gemstones in the same drawer that you know nothing about, but they do look valuable. You can pocket them both, at the expense of either suspicion or danger.
01:18 <Vaylon> Hawthorn says to Waldemar, "This chain of yours is strongly enchanted with magic. You should ask Ira if she can discern anything further than that about it."
01:19 <joo> Waldemar, Ira takes the opportunity to read your songbook in its entirety, and even scribbles some notes for herself.
01:20 <joo> Ira comes back to you two hours later, Waldemar, with your spellbook, and a stack of books from her library. "I found some other books that make references in the same script as used in your book." She sets them down on a table, causing a puff of dust.
01:20 <joo> ...songbook.
01:23 <Bruce> "Chain of ours, you surely mean, friend. The leading man cannot put on a show alone -- and so neither could I perform such a deception without the help of my comrades." Waldemar says to Hawthorn, stroking one end of his moustache.
01:24 <Bruce> (Waldemar is stroking his own moustache, not Hawthorn's.)
01:24 <joo> Hahaha.
01:24 <Theo> I'll go for suspicion.
01:25 <Bruce> Waldemar clears his throat as the dust load hits him in the face. "Well, while I take a look at these, perhaps you'd like to examine old Owtheus' chain?"
01:27 <Vaylon> Hawthorn nods to Waldemar, and he explains to Ira what he discovered.
01:30 <joo> Sparrow, Mohar comes up behind you silently while you're still standing in his workshop. He says, "Ah, you've taken an interest in my humble works, I see. This is where I let myself relax and work on all sorts of pet projects, while my wife goes about doing her mysterious business. Is there something I can tell you more about?"
01:31 <joo> (It looks like this: <http://cecd04df9605b630ca29-1241d3348dac2d27e674997029412b55.r13.cf2.rackcdn.com/02f6b84da1000d046115f59f01c50e94.jpg>)
01:32 <joo> Ira's eyes glint as she looks over the chain. "Why, I have been interested to take a look at that. I will, thank you!"
01:34 <Vaylon> In the meantime, Hawthorn will rest and meditate on what he has learned.
01:34 <Vaylon> Hawthorn levels up, and he takes +1 Wisdom and the move Serenity.
01:36 <joo> Very well.
01:38 <joo> Ira sits down with the chain and runs her hands over it for a while, looking puzzled. She goes into a back room and comes back with something looking like a tuning fork, and hits it against one of the rubies. It makes a high warbling sound that slowly dies out.

01:38 <joo> Finally, she stands up, hanging the chain around her body, and says to herself, "Ah!"
01:39 <joo> He holds out an arm in front of her and it becomes wreathed in flame before your eyes, but the flame doesn't seem to hurt her. She laughs, and the fire in the hearth jumps into renewed health, and several lamps also shine more brightly.
01:41 <joo> "This must have been one of the sources of Owtheus's power," she says to anybody who is listening. "It is a conduit of magic of the element of fire."
01:41 <Theo> Sparrow looks over his shoulder at Mohar, "I was curious what kind of metalworks you do here? I've recently lost my weaponry and need to restock."
01:42 <Bruce> Hawthorn is probably honestly chortling at this witch right now.
01:42 <joo> These are the exact powers of the chain, which you are able to discern with Ira's help: pastebin.com/4WnPsPKJ
01:45 <joo> Ira is of the opinion that it's an incredible piece of enchantment, of a calibre she's never seen before. She would offer to buy it from you, but she couldn't with a clear conscience offer any sum of money that she could raise herself.
01:46 <joo> She notes that in the hands of an experienced sorcerer, as Owtheus no doubt was, its effects would be even more profound. It may have properties that she couldn't see.
01:46 <Vaylon> Hawthorn strokes his beard.
01:47 <joo> Sparrow... you may Defy Danger with CHA to convince Mohar that your intentions were innocent, or even get him to help you with your weapon problem.
01:47 <Vaylon> Hawthorn says, "Through guile, Waldemar has clearly earned the right to wear it if he wishes."
01:48 <Vaylon> He turns to Waldemar. "But I would be honored to bear it, should you choose to forgo it, and put its magic to use for the forces of good and knowledge."
01:49 <joo> Hahaha.
01:49 <joo> "HINT HINT."
01:49 <Theo> !r 2d6+1 (DD+CHA)
01:49 <PageBot> Theo: 8=2+5(+1) (DD+CHA)
01:51 <joo> Mohar nods to you, Sparrow. "I see. Only one thing on an adventurer's mind." He chuckles. "I'm afraid that I am no blacksmith, but if you brought me an already-cast weapon, I might be able to finish it, or give it some nice decorations."
01:52 <joo> Mohar seems more alert, now, and doesn't let the workshop out of his sight for the rest of the day.
01:53 <Theo> Git.
01:55 <Bruce> Waldemar scratches his chin. "Quite the discovery. It is a wonder, though, how Owtheus kept so many wives with such a poor mind for gift-giving. A flaming chain would not well suit a forest spirit, I should think!" He turns to Hawthorn. "I say, it seems a most fitting addition to a Fire Priest's arsenal. You ought to wield it."
01:56 <joo> Everyone knows that bitches love bling.
01:57 <Vaylon> Hawthorn nods humbly to Waldemar. "I will do my best."
01:57 <Vaylon> Hawthorn takes the chain and begins to prepare a purification ritual.
01:58 <Bruce> Waldemar strokes his moustache. "Sparrow and I will just take a greater share of the next spoils we chance upon, for our part in retrieving it for you." He says, with a small Chortle.
01:58 <Vaylon> "I care not for material wealth. Only for knowledge."
01:59 <Bruce> He says, as he dons a massive fucking gold chain.
01:59 <Vaylon> He asks Ira for a soft, clean cloth, and he lays the chain on it. Then, using the water he sanctified earlier, he sprinkles holy water onto the chain and mutters quietly under his breath, waving his hands over the chain.
02:02 <Vaylon> He prays, "Though this device's history is written in blood and fire, I ask you to purge the evil intent from it, and forge it anew into not a weapon but a tool for good."
02:02 <Vaylon> I'm using Divine Guidance to sacrifice the chain.
02:03 <Vaylon> Or, well, maybe part of its power. The evil part.
02:03 <Bruce> www.usasports360.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Tiger-Woods-drunk-566x526.jpg
02:03 <joo> What do you think the Firebringer would change about the chain's enchantment to make it Holy?
02:04 <joo> Hahaha.
02:04 <joo> That's what Ira looks like, too.
02:05 <Vaylon> I'm not sure, to be honest.
02:05 <joo> Be creative. Let yourself go.. ;-)
02:05 <Vaylon> I didn't really have a plan.
02:06 <joo> What parts of it are evil? Ignite Weapon and Wildfire, perhaps.
02:06 <Bruce> What's the Firebringer's Thing, again?
02:07 <joo> Maybe it could lose Ignite Weapon, and Wildfire changes to a spell that can bring a fire under control.
02:07 <Vaylon> The Firebringer's thing is knowledge and, to a lesser extent, healing. Or, more precisely, purification.
02:07 <Vaylon> Oh, I like that.
02:07 <Bruce> Enhance the Light spell to reveal Hidden things, at the cost of the more Destructive spells.
02:08 <Theo> Sparrow sits himself down, yawning and looking disinterested in the conversation.
02:08 <Bruce> Like, it casts light on Invisible things and reveals Illusions.
02:08 <joo> Good idea.
02:08 <Vaylon> Yes. That's not quite as powerful as True Seeing.
02:09 <Vaylon> Since it only reveals things in the radius.
02:09 <joo> It would have to be a level 1 or maybe 2 spell, then, not a Cantrip; and the cost might be losing both Immolation and Ignite Weapon; in addition to the change to Wildfire.
02:10 <Vaylon> I'm fine with that.
02:10 <joo> I'll say it's a level 1 spell.
02:10 <joo> Sparrow can level up, remember.
02:10 <Bruce> Tiger Woods is also joo right now, because he wrote an entire spell list for the chain based around setting things on fire that would slowly reveal itself.
02:11 <joo> Hahahaha.
02:11 <Theo> Yeah I'm deciding what to get.
02:12 <joo> Hawthorn, what will you Christen this new Relic of the Firebringer?
02:15 <Vaylon> The Bonds of Fire.
02:20 <joo> How about this? pastebin.com/eMzVNJYC
02:20 <joo> Er... there's an omission there. It should say "as if you were a level 0 Cleric."
02:21 <joo> Also, Calm Flames should be "ongoing," I suppose.
02:22 <joo> As should Revealing Light, in fact.
02:23 <Theo> I'm going to replace Cheap Shot with Dirty Fighter and add 1 to my dex.
02:23 <Vaylon> Looks good.
02:23 <joo> Very well. I'll write it up on the forum soon.
02:24 <Bruce> Brb.
02:25 <joo> The holy water bubbles and steams as it lands on the chain, as if a conflict is going on between them. No doubt, this chain carries some undead Funk by virtue of having been in that tomb for so long, but its magic is also of a chaotic, destructive sort.
02:26 <joo> Eventually, though, the bubbling calms, and a bit of water is left pooled under the chain. It is cool to the touch, now, and, Hawthorn, you can sense that it carries the Firebringer's blessing. You immediately understand its powers.
02:26 <Vaylon> Excellent.
02:27 <Vaylon> Hawthorn bows his head in silence, and he then reverently picks up the chain and wears it.
02:27 <joo> Theo: Sparrow cannot take Dirty Fighter until he's level 6 or greater.
02:29 <joo> Ira looks agape at the spectacle you just made, Hawthorn, and scratches her head.
02:32 <Vaylon> She probably doesn't want it now.
02:33 <Bruce> Damn pyromaniac witches.
02:34 <Theo> Oh I read too far down XD
02:35 <joo> Does Waldemar examine these books? If he does, he can Spout Lore to see what he can gain from them.
02:36 <Bruce> Yes, he does.
02:36 <Theo> I'll get Underdog then.

02:37 <joo> Ooohhh nooooo.
02:37 <Bruce> The books snap closed on Waldemar's fingers and start biting him relentlessly!
02:37 <joo> Hahaha.
02:38 <Vaylon> Hahaha.
02:39 <joo> Waldemar, you find in the passages that Ira marked some text written in the language of the Giants that you know from your songs. Some of them are prose, some seem to be poetry, and, most interesting to yourself, perhaps, some look like they're meant to be sung aloud. You can copy the songs, and probably entertain some people with them, but you're too stupid to see any arcane or historical significance i
02:39 <joo> n the texts.
02:40 <Bruce> Damn, you hurt my character feelings.
02:40 <Bruce> what happened to being a fan of the characters. gms these days just dont understand
02:41 <joo> Very well! Sparrow is now level 4.
02:41 <joo> Even when you're a fan of someone.... they sometimes let you down.
02:43 <joo> By the time you've all rested and taken care of all this business, it is presumably getting dark again. You're turning into quite the Night Owls.
02:46 <joo> The city of Blackstone, which lies upriver of Haisford, apparently serving as a port city by a mountain lake: is that where Waldemar was born?
02:46 <Vaylon> Hmm.
02:46 <Bruce> It's an inland sea!
02:46 <Bruce> Yes.
02:46 <Bruce> as far as he knows....
02:46 <joo> What is the city known for?
02:52 <joo> And where did Hawthorn set out from, exactly, in relation to Blackstone?
02:52 <Bruce> It is known for its appreciation of Fine Arts, and for the fact that it is seemingly the most ancient city in the region. A shadowy league of merchants based there has controlled trade throughout the sea for as long as anyone can remember.
02:53 <Vaylon> Well... I suppose he and Hawthorn met in Blackstone.
02:53 <Vaylon> But that's not where Hawthorn's order is.
02:53 <Vaylon> Hawthorn's order is somewhere further up in the mountains.
02:53 <joo> In which direction?
02:53 <Vaylon> Do you have a map?
02:55 <joo> Hmm... let me pop one off, quickly.
02:56 <joo> This is a preliminary one, but it doesn't show the region around Blackstone: i.imgur.com/5VIhj3V.jpg
02:58 <Vaylon> Ah, I see.
02:59 <Vaylon> Well, I suppose the order is located east of Blackstone.
02:59 <joo> What is the name of this inland sea?
03:00 <joo> Is the order situated in or near any notable civilisation?
03:00 <joo> And what kind of terrain does it lie on?
03:03 <Vaylon> Hmm, are you asking me about the see? It's Bruce homeland.
03:05 <Vaylon> The order, which is a little insular but not to the point of being secretive, is located in a small vilage in the mountains named Eastbrook.
03:07 <Vaylon> I think it's more of a pastoral village.
03:07 <joo> I'
03:07 <Vaylon> So the terrain has plenty of grasses for grazing, but it isn't suitable for farming.
03:07 <joo> I'm asking Bruce, but anyone's welcome to suggest a name, of course.
03:08 <joo> Do you mean the sense of "pastoral" relating to the grazing of livestock?
03:09 <Vaylon> Right.
03:09 <joo> Oh, I see.
03:09 <Vaylon> Not in the more general sense.
03:09 <Vaylon> (Which might, in fact, include farming.)
03:12 <Bruce> I'm afraid I'm not in any Condition to be thinking of names. Ask Again Later.
03:17 <joo> Well, at any rate, there's a city to the West of Blackstone, called Middleheim, also on the coast of this Unnamed inland sea, which is somewhat known for the study of magic that goes on there.
03:22 <Bruce> i wish to be a wizard, do u think theyll let me study there
03:22 <joo> Ira speaks to you all: "I have gone over my memories of last night, and I will hypothesise that the corpse we saw belonged to a mage from the city of Middleheim. There is a mage there by the name of Anastagio whom I'd suspect of being involved, if that is the case. He's a good man - he taught me a lot of what I know - but he can't keep his nose out of anything when it's good for him. If you ever happen t
03:22 <joo> o be in the area, send him my regards, and tell him about our little adventure."
03:25 <joo> Do you have any more business in Ira's Residence? If not, what will you do next?
03:29 <Bruce> Waldemar looks between Hawthorn and Sparrow. "What now? I owe a favor to Dysus, but who knows when she will call upon me." He focuses on Sparrow. "Perhaps you would now be willing to join us in our travels. Surely you have greater ambition than staying in Haisford."
03:32 <Theo> Sparrow glares at Waldemar, "You owe me a new sword. Until that debt is repaid, I'm going nowhere."
03:33 <Vaylon> Hawthorn laughs softly, and he claps Sparrow on the back. "We have all lost much in this endeavor -- but they are only material possessions. The knowledge we have gained is, in comparison, priceless."
03:35 <Bruce> Waldemar chuckles. "You shall have a new sword, I say, and far greater things too, I think. See what we have accomplished already."
03:37 <Bruce> He strokes his moustache. "I would like a profit in silver as well as in knowledge, however -- perhaps we should seek out a way to fund our continued adventures."
03:38 <Vaylon> Hawthorn sighs. "Yes. It is an unfortunate necessity of life on the road, I have found."
03:39 <joo> Here is how I imagine the world to look: i.imgur.com/7ucuR6Y.png
03:40 <joo> Let me know if it conflicts badly with anything imagined.
03:40 <Vaylon> I like it.
03:41 <Bruce> "Good deeds and full purses are not always mutually exclusive, my friend. I know of at least one group of brigands in these parts whose ill-gotten goods we might liberate." He nods to Sparrow. "But perhaps you have an idea."
03:42 <Bruce> Waldemar's speech is getting more and more demented as I get closer to passing the fuck out.
03:46 <joo> Well, perhaps you will have more ideas in the next session.
03:46 <joo> !missed-rolls
03:46 <PageBot> Missed rolls (estimated): Theo: 0 of 2, Vaylon: 0 of 1, Bruce: 1 of 1. Full list: <http://pastebin.com/qSqbRidt>.
03:47 <Bruce> full XP.
03:47 <joo> Heh.
03:47 <Vaylon> Not bad.
03:47 <joo> Did you learn something new and important about the world?
03:47 <Bruce> Yes, we learned about Hogwarts.
03:48 <joo> Heh. Yes, so you did.
03:48 <joo> I don't think you overcame a notable monster or enemy...
03:48 <joo> Did you loot a memorable treasure, I wonder?
03:49 <joo> Sparrow did steal the Chaos Emeralds, but I suppose they aren't likely to be very memorable compared to the Chain of Pyromancy.
03:50 <joo> I'll say you didn't, unless there's any particular argument to the contrary.
03:50 <Vaylon> We already looted it. Now we just augmented it.
03:50 <joo> Who satisfied their alignment move?
03:51 <Vaylon> Hawthorn didn't.
03:51 <Bruce> I don't think I did.
03:52 <joo> I think Sparrow did, overall, avoid detection when stealing from his hosts.
03:54 <Theo> I think he did.
03:54 <joo> So Sparrow gains 2 XP, Hawthorn gains 1, and Waldemar gains 2; they then have 8/10, 6/11 and 1/11 XP, respectively. They also all have full health after this extended rest.

01:48 <Vaylon> He turns to Waldemar. "But I would be honored to bear it, should you choose to forgo it, and put its magic to use for the forces of good and knowledge."
